With what kind of courses and (applied and interdisciplinary) education programs do we prepare students to integrate sustainable solutions into their day-to-day practice? Do we need completely new Bachelor and Master Programs or can it be done with a transformation towards a more sustainable program?
- 1B. Sustainable campus and organisational change
It is not only important for universities to teach sustainability. They also set an example for their students and environment. This means that sustainability has to be carried by the entire organization, which not only includes greening the campus, using the campus for pilots, sustainable catering, environmental management, but also keeping in mind the overarching issue as to how we can achieve a transition towards sustainable universities and the kinds of organizational changes that this requires as well as how student involvement can contribute.

What kinds of research programs are needed to prepare students to integrate sustainable solutions into their day-to-day practice? Think of subjects in the area of engineering, water, agriculture, nature, tourism, etc
- 1D. International collaboration and knowledge exchange
How can international collaboration and knowledge exchange facilitate sustainable higher education? In particular, what can the North learn from the South and what methods, projects and cases exist regarding the exchange of knowledge between different universities, but also between universities, local communities and industry.
